He jumped from the platform and knocked his nose against the Bose Bass Module, causing a tear on the nose bridge. The screams coming from Mum is something I will never forget. Even while typing this, I can still hear her screams ringing in my ears. Box screamed real bad as well. It happened after their bath at night.
We took a quick shower each because we ran that evening. Then we rushed to NUH A&E immediately. Thankfully, it was not packed with people. Due to Covid, only 1 accompanying parent is allowed. I waited outside while Mum went through Triage and consulted the Doctor with Box. His wound was washed and the Doctor glued his wound together. It couldn't be stitched because bits of flesh was still attached to his skin. It's more conducive to glue, I supposed.
We left the hospital slightly past midnight. By then he was asleep in Mum's arms. We wiped him down when we got home and put him in bed. He stirred a little while we wiped but, with what he had gone through, he quickly went back to sleep.
Doctor's advice: not to get the wound wet over the next crucial 4 days. The glue must gel together to allow healing. That means we can't bring him to the playground, bathing is a challenge and absolutely no crying. Also, those who jump from the platform and headboard, will be severely punished from now on.
Speed recovery, little man.
